Attachment or Thumbnail ?

Hello everyone,

I would like to know your opinion, to use, you prefer: Attachement or Thumbnail ? (for photos)
I'm doing 2 posts so that you see the difference, thanks for vote for the one you prefer.

Attachment is better. Takes less space per topic and more organized.

I definitely prefer the look of thumbnail galleries better. It's much smoother looking, IMO, and I prefer the slightly larger images. I also find the attachments' borders, filenames and views count distracting.

I have used both, but, I prefer your upload button as the pics are much bigger than the attachments button where the pics are much smaller And have borders. I vote for uploads over attachments, if I had a choice.

If you use the "Attach as Thumbnails" option after you attach files, you don't get borders, FYI. I personally prefer that method for thumbnails as it's just big enough to see what's going on and it makes it easier to browse, especially for larger threads. It also loads faster in my experience, and it''s easier to save images.

I only use the Upload Images option (linking as medium thumbnails because the smaller thumbnails are cropped using that method) for larger images that don't display correctly using the normal attachment method (usually files over 3 MB). Though it does look really good.

Uploads add an additional step if you want to save the picture though, which is rather inconvenient.
