I think like a lot of us with the love of feet my fixation goes back to when I was young. It was third grade when I remember a teacher's aide (young beautiful with glasses) used to wear these pointy toe wedges and one day when she had me by myself for extra help (penmanship I think) she slipped them off to go to a adjoining classroom. I can remember seeing her white nail polish through her tan nylons and for whatever reason i was drawn to them.
The next time I got the opportunity I had desire to grab the shoe and sniff it. A month or so later I got the chance and it smelled awesome. That was close to 30 years ago.
